How to be Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes

Step 1: Become an incredibly funny English comic.

Step 2: Allow everyone to assume that because you’re English, you’re polite.

Step 3: Say “yes” when they ask you to host the Golden Globe Awards and try not to laugh in their face.

Step 4: Do not insult anyone until the director yells, “Roll tape!”

Step 5: Insult everyone in Hollywood in an extremely funny way that only people who would never watch the Golden Globes find hilarious.

Step 6: Innocently shrug as Tom Cruise calls you and cries over the phone.
