There are a number of great iPhone Sports Games and every week new ones hit the app store.  However, hockey fans have been searching for a quality hockey application since the app store opened with no luck.  Sure, there about 1000 Air Hockey Apps, but no real hockey application.  When we say 1000 Air Hockey Apps we are not kidding.  Its ridiculous how many air hockey applications there are.  You can even get a neon puck air hockey application.

iPhone Table Hockey Application

Today, we found the best Hockey Application yet.  Fans of old school Bubble Hockey will love this application.  The Application is called Stinger Table Hockey.  Many people know this game as Bubble Hockey, rod hockey, or table hockey.  The best part is, you dont have to put stickers on the players like rod hockey and the puck doesnt get stuck in the face off hole.  Fans of Bubble Hockey definitely recall the stupid puck getting stuck in the hole.  Personally, I had a friend who took pride in putting his stick on top of the puck on a face off so that it got stuck in the hole.  He is no longer a friend.

The application is currently $1.99 and is well worth it.  You can set up a tournament with teams from all over the world.  There are 38 international teams.  You can also create and customize your own teams.  The controls definitely take time to get used to and you definitely do not have as much control as you did in Bubble hockey.  However the game is fun and does not get boring and every game is a challenge.  Right now it’s definitely the best Hockey application.  Note to EA Sports, where is NHL 10?
